Oh dear. All so very true.  And depressing. I have a close friend who went to 
India for the first time this year. She will never return.  Totally saddened by 
the poverty and never really "got over" it. My issue is global warming and the 
environment. If it does not get solved, we're toast!  As you say, I can't focus 
on it for too long - too overwhelmed with daily life, media, work, kids, my 
garden, yoga - so overly busy.  You're right - the noise of our lives 
overshadows the reality of what is happening to us all.  sometimes, I pause and 
look at the faces of people walking by and it nearly makes me  weep.  If it 
exists, this is truly Kali Yuga.
