Back around '74-'75 I took 2 years worth of Sanskrit at Wesleyan, where my husband was an undergrad. Great school. At the time, they also had instruction in gamelon, and a lively Indian community that attracted musicians - so we often could attend concerts with sitar, tabla, etc. They also had a fine history of film course. At the time, this was fairly unusual and really fun.
