That's a possibility, but it's unlikely because
none of the right-wingers pushing the notion that
Gore Sr. was a segregationist have discovered
such establishments.  Given how much they've made
of this account of the Gores to "prove" their
contention of racism, they'd have knocked themselves
out to document the Gores were lying if they could
have.
Most places that had at one time segregated their customers or didn't allow blacks to eat at their establishment wouldn't own up to such a thing these days and we are talking about places that would be 50 years old or older by now. How many would you expect to still be in business? Restaurants, hotels and motels come and go. I doubt the people that made the accusations needed to go any further in proving their point than Al's mammie  who had first hand experience and Al Sr.'s voting record on civil rights. As far as Gore Sr. being a staunch segregationist, I doubt that also but at the same time he sure made use of it and tip toed through the tulips. And as I said earlier he was no Martin Luther King. I'm sure he recognized some time that he had to project a different image if he wanted to remain in the Democratic Party and Politics in general as did Robert Byrd.
