It was a cold day, I remember...very cold, indeed...one of those Iowa cold days... And so, Maharishi was to come and dedicate the Dome. They had been working on it in the cold, and had gotten the main beams up at that time... Sri Rava Shankar, was a pudit at the time, I remember... He had been sitting and chanting for quite some time, and was shivering, in the bitter cold. Finally Maharishi arrived, a couple of hours late, and swarms of meditators were running by his car, to get a glimpse. He strolled up to the place that had been prepared for him, and you could tell he was truely moved when he saw the hugeness of it, the Oregon Wooden Beams, and the work involved in getting this done, in the dead of winter. He parted shortly after that, heading to the Fairfield Airport... I had the luxury of following his car to the airport, where I saw him, sitting in the plane with Nankashore... Nankashore saw me peaking in to see Maharishi, when Maharishi glanced over to me, and our eyes locked... There was just a feeling of love and bliss, when the door shut, and he was off, down the runway... I remember distinctly, as the plane headed up the runway for takeoff, he must have had his attention on me, being the last one on the ground, he had seen...as I began to feel myself expanding, expanding as he took off...that day.
