Prior to learning the flying sutra a small bunch of teachers in the Seattle area including myself began hopping spontaneously during program. The only thing we had in common was that we had been reading one of Muktananda's books. Also on my TM-Sidhis course one of Citizen Sidhas admitted he had the same experience prior to coming to the phase to learning the fly sutra. I think the way Nityananda is teaching it is the more traditional method and how some people without learning the sutra wind up hopping anyway. Also note that Nityananda's participants are able to put their experiences in their own words rather than sounding like robots.
