Doctordumbass, do I need to tell you about  *ritam*, where name and form are
one? You could take every penny from all the millionaires in the US and it
would run the Federal Government for about 8 days. Then , what are you going to
do? Raising taxes, on the few people you want to, will have no positive effect
on the economy. It might make people like Robert feel good for a few minutes,
but the fact is, we are on an unsustainable course and raising taxes will not
begin to head- off our very fast approach to the edge of the cliff. More people
than ever are going on SS and Medicare, and other government support
programs, especially over the next decade, because of retiring baby boomers and
there are fewer people paying taxes to pay for those programs. The natural
progression of raising taxes to keep paying for these programs will end with
all of our pay checks going to the government and allowing the government to
tell us what we can have and not have.
 Central planning and Marxism.

The Good Doctor Dumbass opines: The one thing that would help is taxing the
uber-rich ($1M annual, and up) a little more. After all, the technology and
infrastructure that has accelerated their earnings is paid for by all of us,
and they need to give, perhaps, 10% more, to lessen the strain on the rest.
They wouldn't feel it, and the economy would benefit greatly.
