I was reading recently some expressions of each of the Yugas, and what is lost as we "progress" into a wholly material consciousness, here in Kali Yuga.
Maharishi's strategy was to always go for the highest, first, and his techniques begin to reverse the trend of time in each of us, as he so delicately put it, by returning to us the abilities, like celestial sight, lost with the Mother's progression of time.
