Maharishi referred to CC as "glorified ignorance" because while it was the first permanent higher state of consciousness, it was also the state where separation from self and the rest of the universe was highest. He also referred to it as "merely normal" -what a sufficiently stress-free adult should just spontaneously mature into. L
