And musical instruments. The bagpipes and lute are Persian inventions.

The bag on the bagpipes are a way of playing the snake charmers flute while 
marching and not get out of breath.

The oud was called le'oud by the French aristocracy in England,
that got naturalised and the lute became part of folk music.
