What I saw in Prez. B's response or lack of was not racism, but very plainly a lack of concern for anyone not in his circle. It is the same lack of concern shown so much of the country and world. Bush is a rich, country club kid, and that is what drives his actions, or lack of actions. And he wants to validate himself with the rich and powerful, so he pretends to be powerful by: 1. throwing other people's money at the rich and powerful, 2. weakening social, economic and environmental controls to the rich becoming irresponsibly more so, and 3. throwing away other people's lives to accomplish the aims of the rich and powerful, so they will accept him.
