Not if, as Bhairitu pointed out, Neo works better on mobiles.
That is the future. If they lose a few laptop and desktop users,
they'll more than make up for it with new mobile users.

Besides, the software business doesn't run on treating its
customers right. Most of the most profitable and successful
companies don't. To their credit, I think IBM really tries to
do this, but other companies I've worked for like Computer
Associates <spit> seem to go out of their way to treat people
badly -- their customers, their business partners, and the
people they owe money to. They were consistently 120 days
behind on paying the company that fronted me there, and
that company *was one of their business partners*. Imagine
how long it took the other companies and individuals they
owed money to to get paid.

Large software rollouts like Neo don't run on common sense;
they run on ego and desire. I can tell you without having ever
been in their offices that there are about a dozen people who
are betting their entire career on Neo. They *want* that
promotion or bonus. And they're not *about* to let anyone
cancel their baby because some current users don't like it.

Neo is here to stay. For you guys, anyway. I've still never been
subjected to it for more than a few minutes at a time. Go
figure. Just good karma, I guess. :-)

Mac users were thilled that Maverick is being given to them free. Then they downloaded and installed it....

After logging out of Yahoo News it had no problem for several weeks giving me the right location for local news and weather. Now it's broken again. I think the century is going to go this way for earthlings.
