tonight, sunday, oct. 23rd, at cafe paradiso, at 7:30 p.m., they are showing a 90-minute movie, called Shortcut to Nirvana....
It's about the Kumbha Mela in India, where millions of people meet to take a dip in the holy ganges on a particulary auspicious day (every 12 years)...
It is quite an extraordinary movie (I saw it Friday night).
Very worthwhile seeing... good music, great documentary, nice conversations and interactions with various saints, a short and sweet talk by the dali lama in attendance, and some bizarre stuff, too...
a great ride on an elephant, so to speak..
