That man was legendary producer Rick Rubin, who consented to receive the "2014 Lifetime of Harmony Award" from the David Lynch Foundation only because Lynch convinced him that it would be good for the cause of transcendental meditation (the Foundation's primary mission is teaching TM to at-risk populations).
