What if there is a confluence of disasters?
That would be the real bummer.

Say human bird flu takes off, mad-cow disease spreads, and the melting 
of the icecaps release new germs that we, or our food supply, is not 
used to.. as has long been predicted. Plus there is no fish in the sea 
left for the fish-eaters, and meat-eaters can't eat cow anymore (and 
pig and sheep and dog).

It could be fun. I'll have to get my snowshoes out and befriend a 
grizzly bear.

But I know one thing: Those that die will be dead, and those that 
don't die will still be alive. Or vica versa.
