Cool. Buck is now whining about a temporary shutdown of FFL that never existed,
except as a notion in *his* mind. What was that recent post about not being
able to tell reality from imagination? :-)
But in a way all of his whining is worth it, because I've never been accused of
being a member of a caliphate before, and that's kinda fun.
A caliphate (in Arabic: خلافة khilāfa, meaning "succession") is a form of
Islamic political-religious leadership which centers around the caliph, i.e.
"successor", to Muhammad. The succession of Muslim empires that have existed in
the Muslim world are usually described as "caliphates".
I've been accused on this forum of being a drunk, drug addict, tax criminal,
sexual predator, homeless person, child molestor, misogynist, communist,
atheist, neganaut, pornographer, liar, CIA agent, Buddhist, and much, much
more, but being a member of a caliphate is a first. Thanks, Buck.
But what is George Hammond going to say if *I* am suddenly a member of the
group that provides direct successors to Muhammed and thus might wind up
someday standing right beside him in the pantheon of THE MOVEMENT? This might
fuck with his whole world view.

Yes a general shutdown of posting toFFL but, One of the most urgent uses of FFL
for scholarlypurposes is research into mining of the archive of FFL. The
amazingarchive here tells a back-story of a community. Is there a way (?)to
keep the search function of the archive and also the files sectionopen whilst
shutting off posting to FFL for a while in the FFL groupssettings?
