I would say, Lawson, that "harassment" is in the eye of the beholder.
For example, one of the "rules of engagement" in any discussion about beliefs
is that those *claiming* the beliefs and trying to sell them to others have the
obligation to provide proof that they are correct.
Yet we've seen over and over and over here on FFL that believers in (for
example) God claim to be being "harassed" when someone merely asks them to
provide proof of His/Her/Its existence. They often try to turn things around
and say, "Prove that their *isn't* a God." That's bullshit, as I'm sure you
understand.
The same thing, unfortunately, is often true with regard to
potentially-provable beliefs like the ME. The skeptics have the *right* to ask
for proof of a claim as outlandish as "by bouncing on your butt you can end
crime and create world peace." Those who can't come up with the proof don't
really have the right to claim that they're being "harassed" when someone asks.
:-)
You can't *get* much more "real world" than asking for real-world proofs of
things, rather than relying on subjective claims.

This (in red) is an important point. Fairfield Life was *established* by Rick
as a place where people come to challenge the things they think they "know."
Unfortunately, because of that very challenging, it also attracted a bunch of
people whose goal in life was to protect and defend the things they think they
"know." They felt *threatened* by the very thing that Rick considered
liberating.
Hopefully now that they're gone, those of us who feel equally liberated by
challenging concepts and ideas and holding no cows to be sacred can do so
without being harassed.
