Jaya Guru Datta I wish I could say for certain, as His leela is so mysterious. Hints here and there. Based on His life history and what He has accomplished... and continues to gift the world, many believe Him to be "The" avatara. Only time will tell because He isn't telling. Based on what He has given this soul, I am easily convinced as I am just a 55 year old child who was brought out of 30 years of blindness. He on the other hand is not attempting to convince anyone of anything. It is a method of detracting rather than attracting, which is Datta's tattva. (Sri Datta Darshanam book describes clearly.) He was tested by many as He was growing up during a more superstitious and less connected India. Amazing documentations. Sri Ganapathi Sachchidananda Swamiji has established 16 primary Datta Temples for each of the 16 incarnations of Dattatreya, along with many other temples to Ganapathi, Shiva, Venkateshwara, Hanuman, Rajarajeshwari, etc. etc. He currently maintains about 50 temples in total. His expositions of Veda, healing, and Raga Ragini Vidya are a delight. His Dattatreya Vajra Kavacham is very, very powerful. His sonorous voice caresses like nothing else in its perfection of grammar and clarity. He asks for nothing but to live a righteous life in Truth. With devotion to Him, He pours on, the auspiousness of Shiva, the protection of Vishnu, and creation of Brahma through Veda. Tangibly. In Datta Seva Hanuman ------------------------ Yahoo!
