Good luck on your mission. I send people to learn TM at TM centers and they get turned off right away on going in with how 'odd' the presentation is. 'Arrogant' is another word that gets used along with, 'cult'. The technique is nice to learn and practice and it can be well taught. It seems over-produced now in a way that triggers people. There has been so much about cults and abuse recently in media around spirituality and religion that people seem much more sensitive to what they may be getting into. ..compared to centering prayer and mindfulness meditations that are more widely taught adapting principles of effortlessness now very similar to some TM techniques.
