Well we *could* have discussed the binary model of the intellect as
applied to AI but instead folks chose to jump on the idea we might be
leaving impressions from our brains (possibly from vibrating calcium
particles) into some realm science knows little about. No real
scientist would disregard the theory because there is currently no way
of knowing whether it is true or not. It could well be a possibility.
It would explain how people who have lost part of the brain might still
function normally. We really don't know much about how the human brain
works.
It might just be more honest for someone to say they just don't like the
idea.
