We don't have an 18 trillion dollar debt because we don't tax enough, we have
an 18 trillion dollar debt because we spend too much. Funneling the economy
through the government is a big waste of money because it is full of corruption
and retards natural growth. Yeah, a bunch of people get perks for voting for
the ones that promise them, but that just encourages more of the same, "gimme
sumpin for my vote!" If something is worth having, it's worth working for.
Punishing people for being successful, by constantly increasing their taxes in
order to buy votes of the least successful, is not a good formula to reduce
that debt. Being compassionate with other people money is not compassion, it's
robbery.
