I didn't sign up on my 5 year old Acer 64-bit machine. I think I'll keep it Windows 7 but then I tend to need machines running different versions of Window to test software. It's getting a replacement anyway as though a 4 core machine it's a little slow to run some of the new 3D animation software I use. The next machine will be Windows 10 anyway, much faster as needed for animation. This machine is 4 years old and running Linux. It's used the most but needs a new CPU, motherboard and memory. Unlike Windows I can just swap out those and the OS still runs. And that costs 1/3 the price of getting a new Windows machine.

I just signed up for it yesterday. Hope I didn't make a mistake!

Is it a good idea to upgrade to this new Windows version? Does anybody have a bad experience relating to this upgrade?

Thanks.
