Bhairitu,

They're probably selling that for the land alone. The future owner can
demolish the old shack and build a new one for a new bigger house to fit the
neighborhood.

Also, there's a lottery in the city that advertises for an opportunity to win
a brand new home, with a panoramic view of the city, which is probably worth
over a million dollars. So, anyone can still live here for almost free, if
you're lucky.

BTW, yesterday I heard about a listing for a 32,000 sq ft castle in
France on 200 acres of land that you can rent for what it costs to rent
a 400 sq ft studio apartment in San Francisco.
