The Lifetime of Peace & Love Tribute Concert, an album featuring highlights from a star-studded January 2014 event honoring the former Beatles drummer, was released today. The show included renditions of songs from Starr’s solo career and his years with The Beatles performed by Joe Walsh, Ben Harper, Ben Folds, Brendan Benson, Bettye LaVette and Ringo himself, among others.The concert, which took place at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles, was hosted by director David Lynch and raised money for the David Lynch Foundation, which supports Transcendental Meditation education programs for at-risk people around the world. To promote the album, Starr and Lynch took part in a video interview with Rolling Stone that’s been posted on the magazine’s website.
