MD, This general is violating the traditional military command structure. When a higher ranking officer tells a soldier to jump, a good soldier is supposed to ask, "how high"? Instead, the general states he can't. As such, he should be relieved of his command and forced to retire. This has happened before when General McArthur was relieved of his command by President Truman.
