This is no big deal for you Californians but for us Victorians we were all ready to leap outside. This small quake was only about 4 km from where I live (my actual house) so it felt pretty substantial for a short while because it woke me up with the rattling then a big jolt (4.8). I was in bed as my husband was quickly putting his clothes on to go outside. I guess I better get a bit more reactive in future. LOL There will be a run on earthquake preparedness kits today - we are so funny as a species.
