Fairly good video on Christian Gnosticism, although 6 min couldn't do justice to the topic. For one thing, Not "all" of the early Christians were Gnostics. There were different brands: followers Paul's variety, Jewish Christians with or without the Gnostic part,, and the rigid "Early Church Fathers" like Jerome, whose brand of Christianity eventually won out with the development of a strong Hierarchy supported by the Roman State.
