Well, about 6 percent of Finns are Swedish speaking. In the 60's I had a Swedish speaking pal who also spoke Finnish almost like a native. When his teenage somewhat older sister heard him speak Finnish to me, she said very angrily: Anders (name changed), we are not Finns! (They call themselves Finländare: people who live in Finland but are not Finns?)
That might explain a bit of my not being very fond of some Swedes...
