It comes down to who is the boss or the god in the household. Without jyotish compatibility, marriage life is basically a matter of luck in meeting somebody who is naturally compatible. With jyotish, marriage compatibility is quantified--although not perfectly--to recognize the tendency for people to be the gods of their environment or household.
It is, also, recognized that the Fall in the Garden was due to the first humans thinking that they were like gods, so they disobeyed the Creator's rule not to eat the fruit of good and evil in the Garden. So, this is the weakness that human's have had since being Created. It interferes in marriage life and relationship with each other. Isn't this the reason why we have wars and conflicts?
