Many important events occurred in 1967, almost too numerous to mention but we would have to single out the Six Day War. Also, the Monterey Pop festival and of course 1967 as the "Year of Love", but things deteriorated by 1969 and ultimately crashed as the love affair with drugs fizzled out and the Hippie movement lost its allure. The War in Vietnam heated up. Also a big year for MMY and the SIMS Movement as centers sprang up in Westwood near UCLA, the Bay Area, and the Boston area. Headway in the Civil rights battle. Another good year for Rock and Roll as the Doors became popular and the British invasion continued as well Will anything significant happen in 2017?
