I remember my dad lying on the couch crying a few months after I learned TM. He had seen a huge change in me and decided to learn also. He also underwent a profound transformation - felt wonderful - but stopped taking his epilepsy medication because he thought he no longer needed it, so he had a blackout and drove through a stone wall. He meditated for years and attended quite a few residence courses, including courses with Maharishi, but could never overcome his alcoholism.
