A guy once told me, in the process of training me
to teach meditation, "If you encounter a person in
your talks who consistently wants to start an argument
with you, *don't* argue with them. That's what they
*want*. It's part of the mechanism they have developed
for staying miserable. Nothing you can *say* will get
through to them. Just teach them to meditate and
then come back in a year or two when they've
had a chance to become more sane."

For once, Maharishi was right about the theory, even
if he was off in his time estimates by thirty years
or so. :-) :-) :-)
