See? Sparaig and I can agree on some things.
In my case, the proper distance would be "in
Scotland, with me still here in France."  :-)

Partly kidding, but partly not. Uilleann pipes
are one thing; they actually have a fairly sweet
sound to them that can be truly magical when 
played by someone like Paddy Moloney or Robin
Williamson. But the highland pipes? It's like
the sound of a cat in heat being devoured alive
while scraping a blackboard with its claws.
