Ageism, though illegal, is definitely difficult to contend with. I've definitely been a victim of it myself these past few years. Although nothing was stated explicitly, the fact that I was the oldest person at a job-site and was forced out spoke volumes to me, particularly in light of the fact that new hires were typically 30 years younger.
