I would suspect though that the vast majority of people that practise the TM technique are NOT associated with the TMO or MMY in any way, shape or form. Although I have no statistics to rely on, we all know that hundreds of thousands of Americans -- as well as others across the world -- did indeed start TM in the '70s and '80s and at least some are still practising it.
