there were new names for me on that site also. I had heard about
Nickel Creek from NPR, but never listened to them. Nice
sharing-breakfast-on-a-Sunday music.
The ability to hear music for free, including Amazon's amazing site
blows my mind. I remember standing in the African music section in a
music store in the early 90's knowing I had to blow a bunch of money
on cassettes to find a few that I would like because that genre was
new to me and I was in the dark. Recommendations are so much more
useful if you can listen to the music for free before you pull out
your wallet!
Thanks
Guitarist's tip: Tune the mandolin strings to the 4 high guitar
string's notes, and you can play lead without having to re-learn
violin/mandolin finger positions! Only Chris Thile would know the
difference!
