Oh, she might well have done, actually. There's no
reason to think she wouldn't have. The fact that
she married a man who ended up being a big deal
doesn't mean she couldn't have made it on her own
if she hadn't married him. It's just that Condi had
the chance to *prove* she could because she never
married.
