Here's what is the most profound statement we've heard yet about the chaos in the middle East:

If the terrorists announced tomorrow morning that they were going to lay down their arms and destroy all their weapons, and cease all terrorists activity, what would happen?  The answer is that peace would once again reign throughout the world.

But....

If the U. S. and Israel made the same promise...tomorrow morning we put away all our arsenals and destroy them, what would happen?  The answer is that all the people in Israel would be slaughtered and the U. S. would come under attack.

I wonder why half the people in this country can't understand that?
