However it still does not explain how come a billion people in the 
far East have no problems with eating dogs, cats, bears, etc. 
whereas it is repugnant to 90% of western meat-eaters.

(fish and chicken don't count because they don't really hunt for red 
meat animals...and that is the MAIN difference between East and 
West. Westerners will not generally eat animals that are red-meat 
eaters -- and I suspect Alex's story about the mouse-hunting chicken 
is far-fetched -- or maybe he lives in Texas where the chickens are 
no doubt more like Chicken-hawks  ---  you know: AWOL Bush, and Five 
Deferment Cheney, etc.)
