There's a movie from the early '70s called "Prime Cut" with Lee
Marvin (and a nude Sissy Spacek in one of her first roles). The
opening scene is of cattle being killed in a slaughterhouse and then
on through the entire butchering process.

If PETA wants to convert America to vegetarianism, all they have to
do is show the opening 10 minutes of "Prime Cut" and it will be
mission accomplished.
