I don't use Norton Ghost but have Acronis True Image instead.  There is 
a downloadable trial which might give you an idea if it will work for 
you.  The version I have allowed me to make a bootable CD.  I migrated 
my Windows XP Pro installation from a drive that sounded like it might 
be going out (turned out it wasn't) to a new larger drive.   There are 
specific instructions if anyone does this as the old drive has to be 
deactivated so the new one will activate XP properly.
