For All Members:

A few days ago, we discussed the apparent wisdom HG Wells may have
intended in his writing of The Time Machine. In his book, he
emphasized the mechanical aspect of the machine which transported the
main character to the distant future. However, we can interpret the
machine to be the human body.

The body, depending on one's level of consciousness, can take a
person to the distant future by sheer logical deduction, or even by
witnessing the future through yogic skills. The same can be said to
the distant past which includes one's past life experiences. All of
these possiblities are presented in Patanjali's Yoga Sutras.

Although not mentioning the various yogic skills, some scientific
writers have speculated that magical things can happen if someone
knew how to manipulate the various dimensions in space.
Specifically, the manipulation of the various dimensions can take
humans to different parts of the universe, perhaps even to other
universes.

One writer mentioned that this manipulation is the final answer for
leaving the local solar system, either to discover new worlds, or to
escape the death of the Sun.

Nonetheless, the vedic literatures mention that a yogi can transport
his consciousness to distant worlds or planets.

Several religious traditions, including Christianity, believe that
the human body can even be transformed from the relative value in the
world to the absolute value of the heavens. As such, the future of
humans can conceivably be equivalent to a life of the devatas.
