FWIW, *he* says he had been a liberal but that his viewpoint changed completely after 9/11. He became a big Bush supporter, was all for the war in Iraq. I don't care how funny he is; there's something badly wrong with 9/11 changing your political perspective that way, IMHO. Talk about letting the terrorists win! I haven't paid any attention to him since. It isn't impossible he's moved back somewhat. But if he hasn't figured out by now what a God-awful disaster Bush and his war have been--and how utterly unrelated Iraq was to 9/11--he's hopeless.
