The apple certainly didn't fall too far from the tree: "An elaborate metaphor about male oppression and female sexual power, "Boxing Helena" concerns an obsessive surgeon (Julian Sand) who cuts off the arms and legs of the woman he loves (Sherilynn Fenn). Not exactly a date movie."
