Translation: MMY has a different view than
Vaj does.

Correct translation: Mahesh holds incorrect views in regards to stages of meditation as described in the YS of Patanjali. But Mahesh's version is more marketable, even if it happens to be a untrue.

Perhaps we should call this the "simultaneous TM-samadhi- eightfoldpath lie". It is another prevalnet lie the Mahesh promotes.

Fact: "Modern science" doesn't *have* a definition
of EEG evidence for "legitimate samadhi."

Actually it has since at least the 1950's. Interestingly this is the same as traditional definitions and science has been able to verify the claims.

Rick tells an interesting story of Mahesh going to see a legitimate yogi whose students could go into samadhi at will and be completely impervious to sensory input. Mahesh made the claim at that time that his students would eventually do the same.

They still have not.

Believe me, if they had, they'd be marketing it all over the place.

Translation: Same old, same old.

Don't be so rough on yourself Jude.
