Swami Padmalinga-ji says:

People confound ego or the "I-thought" with
consciousness. Tell someone that there is no ego, only
consciousness and they don't have a clue what you're
talking about. This can not be understood
intellectually from the perspective of ego. In
Realization there is no localization, literally.
