This is very much in line with a brief segment I saw of Glenn Beck's
show on CNN Headline News last week, with Deepak Chopra. Deepak and
Glenn were talking about the Middle East and Deepak began talking
about how to treat a body with localized cancer and he said when the
cancer is localized, an agressive strike at the cancer with
radiation and chemotherapy can be effective. But, he said, when the
cancer has caused the entire body to become irritated, striking hard
at the cancer in a very agressive way actually causes the body to
become more inflamed and instead of the cancer being reduced, the
cancer spreads. The analogy with what the USA is trying to do in
Iraq is obvious. So, introducing some peacerful means into that
region, and reaching out with some diplomatic initiatives would be
very helpful. The belligerent and self-righteous policies of the
current administration and Congress are doomed.:-)

Nuclear radiation is a common treatment for systemic cancer.
