differences. (MySM is PHP, Postgres, Apache-based)
An obvious major difference is PHP vs CF. This is often a deciding factor.
The mySource approach to open source from memory is very much along the
lines of "here is a base system which doesn't actually do very much on
its own, and here a bunch of commercial plugins that actually make it
what we are demonstrating".
I've check out the comparision on cmsmarix.org but there details on
FC seem a bit about of data (they list image resizing, photo gallery
as free add-ons).
Its extremely difficult to do general CMS matrix comparisons. Mainly
because of the difference in terminology and the difference in approach
that seperate systems have. I'm happy to give some specific responses
to particular concerns or points of approach/functionality difference
but anything more general is probably not worthwhile.
The guys at Melbourne Uni have had a lot of internal debate over FarCry
vs mySource where some departments use FarCry and some mySource, they
might possibly be able to chime in on perceived benefits of the system.
