We are doing a lot in the admin w/Flash Forms, but are using exclusively custom types. We are using tabs (formitem type="tabnavigator") instead of PLPs.
Also, be careful of the rich text. We are using cf_pim for our rich text editor, but it created flash-formatteed markup, which is not appropriate if you want to display HTML instead. The other gotcha is checkbox fields: they are always defined and have a value, even if they are not checked.
