Geoff,
Thanks for the link to the Robrusher.com article. That's pretty much what I'd come up with as the solution from the varied posts, more generally a search and replace for path related to cfimport, but I was hesitant due to all of the comments such as "it's not as as simple as a search and replace", "you need a host experienced in this", and your own comment, "For those that like living dangerously..." So I guess in response to your question, "What specifically do you need more information on with regard to shared hosting?", I would ask, "why is doing this living dangerously?" Why does doing this always imply fear and trepidation? What exactly are the issues that I should be aware of in order decide whether doing this is for me and my clients? Obviously, if you for some reason you don't do the search and replace properly it will break the code, but coders are quite clear about that. And when a new build is installed, it would seem obvious that you would have to repeat the search and replace within the new copy of the code, doing it meticulously. So why should that type of a procedure and roll out be different than any other? And if not, why not simply document it rather than make it something that is so difficult to discover without huge effort by being pointed to this posting or that one? Again, this is the part where I'm confused, and I can't help but think there is something I'm missing. Thanks again.
