suggestion here: make the farcry install root an application
variable to eliminate the issues with shared environments
like HostMySite that append a site number to cf_mappings.

A nice suggestion, but like all frameworks used in CF that require mappings
it's not possible.  It is a limitation to the underlying java layer (I'm not
a java expert, so I won't attempt to explain it :).

It has been requested repeatedly to allow application-specific CF mappings
in future versions of CF.  We'll just have to wait and see if Adobe listens
and brings that to fruition in CF8 (or future versions of CF).  In the
meantime the only other solution (that I know of) for shared servers is to
use CF Instances.
